My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The location was great, close to parades but away from downtown chaos, and the staff were friendly. However, the room was not as expected, hidden away and not up to modern standards. The service lacked organization, and there were some limitations in the dining options. Overall, a decent stay with room for improvement.

Rooms

The room I stayed in was a bit disappointing. It was not in the mansion as advertised but tucked away in a less appealing area. The bedding felt cheap, and the shower cubicle was outdated, reminiscent of the 70s.
Service
5.0
The staff seemed overwhelmed and disorganized, especially during check-out and room cleaning. There was a lack of clear protocols and communications
Location
7.0
The location worked well for me as it was close to the parades I wanted to attend but away from the hectic downtown scene. There were nice places to stroll around nearby and grab a drink.
Dining
5.0
The dining options were basic, with store-bought items like danish and bagels. While there were some simple offerings like cupcakes and cereals, the variety was limited.
Facilities
6.0
The facilities were average, nothing special to note.

5.6/10

My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The themed rooms, like 'The Gone with the Wind room,' added a unique touch, but some were outdated and in need of renovations. The service provided by the staff was hit or miss, with some helpful moments but also instances of unavailability. The location was convenient for exploring New Orleans, especially during Mardi Gras, but the surrounding area seemed under construction. The dining options were limited, with basic choices available at a low price. However, the hotel's facilities were adequate for a short stay.

My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The location was perfect for us, close to parades but away from downtown craziness, and the young female staff member was extremely nice. However, the rooms were not as fancy as expected, and there was a lack of organization with service, particularly during checkout. The dining experience left much to be desired, but the price was reasonable for the overall stay.

Rooms
6.0
The rooms were not as elaborate as advertised, located out back and under the house. They varied in levels of fanciness.
Service
5.0
Although the young female staff member was extremely nice, the overall service was unorganized, lacking a proper protocol for checkout and room cleaning.

The hotel had a self-serve buffet for dining, which was not satisfying.

6.2/10

The hotel had both positive and negative aspects. The rooms were not clean during my stay, even after requesting to vacuum, but overall, they were lovely. The service, especially from a particular staff member, was unfriendly and made us feel unwelcome. On the bright side, the location was perfect for us, close to the Mardi Gras parade route and away from downtown chaos. The dining experience with fresh pastries was plentiful but not exceptional.

Staying in a room at the back made me feel like I had the place to myself, away from the hustle. However, the room was in a basement that was too cold and falling apart. The service was unorganized, with no clear check-out protocol, and there were issues with room cleaning. The location was perfect for us, close to parades and easy to walk to attractions, especially if you prefer a quieter vibe. The dining experience had a nice variety but was self-serve and somewhat disappointing.

The hotel has its own theme in exorbitant the New Orleans spirit. The rooms were a little dark with no access to natural daylight, and not as clean or elaborate as pictured. The service was excellent, and the staff was most helpful with directions, but seemed unfriendly. The location was terrific, close to streetcar transportation and perfect for avoiding downtown traffic. The dining experience was just 'okay'.
